This evening started out with a nice sunset. An unusual, thin layer of clouds hung motionless in the west, making a brilliant contrast with the dimming sky.
My plan for the evening was to put together a two-panel mosaic of the Milky Way in Cepheus, but thin clouds began moving in, cutting the evening's plans short, so only this single-frame shot of the IC1396 area could be salvaged.
